BOATS OUT & THANKSGIVING DINNER

Happy Thanksgiving Pumpkin Decorations
Another bright crisp morning here at the lake.  Morning temp 4 degrees celsius!

The Wood fire was lit and stoked keeping the cottage cozy for the day.

The Dorey is out of the water!
Rodger and Larry bring the can [Keeper Fish]
from the water too.
It was take-the-boats-out-of-the-water day and Rodger and Larry did the honours.  Strange, it seems that we just put them in.  How quickly four months have passed.

Thanksgiving celebration today with a turkey dinner here.

Tables set for Thanksgiving Dinner

The big boat proved to be more work than was initially thought.  The car could not get leverage on the damp ground and after much struggle, and nearly having the boat float off the trailer, it was decided to wait for Marty's son in law to arrive with a four wheel drive.  Soon after that decision was made, Judy and Dave arrived, and Dave felt his vehicle could do the trick and it did.  What began at 11 a.m. concluded at 6 p.m. and Larry and Dave arrived just as we were ready to put the Thanksgiving Dinner on the table.  Gage was unable to come to the dinner as he was asked to work into the next shift as someone had called in sick.

Judy brought beans from Janice's garden in Orono and wine, Rodger brought one apple and one pumpkin pie, and Suzanne brought mashed potatoes.
The turkey was tasty as was the dressing and cranberry sauce.  Broccoli, Cauliflower and Carrots completed the meal.
Mmmmmmmmm good.
